What is 'close-up' magic?

Also referred to as table magic, strolling magic or mix and mingle magic. Close-up
differs from a Cabaret or Stage Performance in that the magical entertainment
takes place directly in front of and usually involves the spectators. Many effects are
accomplished utilising such items as cards, coins, rings, watches, ropes, rubber bands,
in fact almost any small object. It is also not unusual to witness a close-up magician
wowing his or her audience with mind blowing mentalism effects. Close-up magic
has been around in some areas for many years and is becoming more and more
popular here in the U'K, particularly at weddings and trade fairs. John is
a fine example of why this is so.
Why not book him and witness for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
John is also available for children's parties. (See Kid's Magic page)
